Pupils placed on the waiting list during the transition process from year 6 to 7 will be maintained on the waiting list in accordance with the Local Authority co-ordinated Admission Policy. If Parents wish their child to remain on the waiting list after 1st September they must inform the school in writing.
As places become available they will be allocated from the waiting list according to the over-subscription criteria. If Parents request a place in other Year groups which are full they can request to go onto the waiting list for that year group.
LATE APPLICATIONS
If an application is received for a place in Year 7 after the deadline as laid down in the Co-ordinated Admissions Scheme, and the school has allocated all the places in Year 7 the pupil's name will be put on the waiting list. As places become available they will be allocated as detailed above.
GENERAL NOTES
Where a pupil lives with parents with shared responsibility during the week, parents must state which is the predominant address of the child together with details. Over-subscription criteria will be applied on the basis of the predominant address, which may be checked with the current primary school.
Parents need to be aware that the Governors, when allocating places consider the present permanent place of residence. They will not take into account the intention to move to another address.
NON-ADMISSION
Governors will establish arrangements for Independent Appeals against non-admission. Details of the Appeals procedure are available from the school.
