Year 9 and 10 had the honour of meeting Mike Haines OBE, who shared his personal story of his brother's death at the hands of ISIS. Out of this tragedy, he has been able to create something incredibly positive, the Global Acts of Unity campaign, promoting tolerance and understanding to fight against anger and prejudice. It was an incredibly moving morning and the impact that his story and message had on our students was clear.
Ryburn Careers Week
Let's raise some dough!
On 13 July 2018, we are attempting to bust the world record for the largest ever picture mosaic made from toast. With the support of Hadfields Bakery, and students from our neighbouring primary schools, we will be assembling our picture from 756 loaves of bread.
We're raising funds for two fantastic charities.

Ryburn awarded Platinum Artsmark
We’re delighted to have been awarded the Platinum Artsmark, the highest level of the awards given by Arts Council England in recognition of schools’ exemplary commitment to the Arts and Culture. As one of only 45 schools nationally and only two secondary schools in Yorkshire to have currently attained the Platinum level, we are feeling very proud of our Creative Arts team.
