STEM Team shortlisted for TES School Awards 2017

We're delighted to reveal that Ryburn has been shortlisted for a prestigious TES Schools Award, in recognition of our fantastic Science, Technology and Engineering teaching in school, specifically the team of staff and students involved in our major Flight Simulator project.

This award recognises excellence and innovative teaching in science, technology or engineering. Judges were looking for clear examples of innovation and quantifiable evidence of success. They were also on the lookout for how schools have increased the status of STEM, whether by encouraging more students to pursue careers or by leading whole-school events to make science, technology and engineering more visible.

We think our Flight Sim project is amazing. It has enthused and taught students so much and brought them so many unique opportunities to problem solve, project manage, and work and learn alongside professionals. It's fantastic to see the team being recognised at a national level. Well done Mr Russell, Mrs James, and everyone else involved.

The shortlist has been announced today, and the award winners will be revealed at a ceremony in London on 23 June. Please keep everything crossed for us!
