Study Music at KS4

Assessment at Key stage 3

In Music we monitor students progress using a scale from Bronze to Platinum based on the skills they can demonstrate in lessons. This can be shown as follows:

Small group instrument and vocal tuition

Alongside timetabled lessons, we offer tuition in Guitar, Drums, Woodwind, Brass, Piano and Vocal Coaching. Lessons are taught either 1:1 or in small groups up to a maximum of 4 students in each group. There will be a minimum of 30 lessons a year.

Guitar, Drums and vocal coaching are £70 a term and payment will be collected through ParentPay. Woodwind, Brass lessons and Piano lessons are taught on a one to one basis and you will make a separate arrangement with Mr. Robertson regarding payment and timetabling.

There are a number of instruments available for loan. Please ask your Music teacher.

If you have any questions, please contact Mr Grimes.
